Auchtertool Community Members
Tom Lochhead - Chair
"Having stayed in the area of Auchtertool for nearly thirty years now and the last sixteen or so with my wife, Denise and son, Connal, we have been fortunate to have been involved, seen and enjoyed the benefits of all that the village and it's residents have offered in the past. Having recentIy retired from my real job I was also keen to become involved in a role where I could give something back and attempt to enhance the village and its surrounding areas and it seemed appropriate when the opportunity to re- establish the community council arose to step forward. This is a new role for all the new council members and there are many exciting ventures that we can undertake however there is also much to learn but I know that if anyone has any issues they wish to raise and if we can help at all please feel free to pop round, give us a call and we will attempt to give you a prompt response." Kevin Carter – Vice Chair "I’ve lived in Auchtertool with my wife Sarah for around ten years. We have two young boys,so it’s really important to me that we don’t just help to make Auchtertool a great place to live today but also for our children to grow and live." Freda Biddulph - Treasurer "My hubby (Morris) and I moved to the village 4.5 years ago to live near our daughter and family (The Lochheads). We were pleasantly surprised to be welcomed so warmly by the villagers. As I was previously Treasurer on the last ACC I was more than willing to take on the job again. Morris and I have always contributed to our community in the past in various forms, and hope to continue to do that in this lovely village" |
Mark Armitage – Secretary
"Moving to the village 7 years ago with my partner Gillian was (literally) a breath of fresh air. We'd spent too long in Edinburgh and needed a change of pace. Auchtertool has not disappointed. From the very start, the people of the village made us feel very welcome, so we quickly felt at home in this great wee community. Standing for election was an easy decision for me. I want to give something back to the village by representing your wishes and helping making things better for all. If you see me out and about walking Dudley (our dog)please stop me for a blether. I want to hear your views about how the Council can help." Audrey Duncan – Council Member "We moved to Auchtertool over 15 years ago and have felt part of this wee community for along time. Originally from Aberdour I was already acquainted with village life. I found that again in Auchtertool and have made some very good friends. I am Chairperson for the ParentCouncil and a member of the Community Council. Our children Michael and Rebecca have been brought up here and we could not have asked for a better start for us as a family." Adele Seath – Council Member "I've lived just outside the village for 13 years with my husband Russell. We have 2 girls who attend Auchtertool Primary School. I spend a lot of time in the village with my kids. Being an active member of the school parent council and now the community council it's all about making this lovely wee village better for the kids and residents alike" |
