Update on Proposed Energy Storage Facility

11/10/2016

We've had an update from Claire Addison at AES to advise progress on the proposed energy storage facility within Auchtertool:

"We have made much progress since our community open day and are happy to report that both Shell and Exon Mobil have confirmed they have no objection to our site one location (further from the village), on the very far edge of the potential Mosmorran expansion plot. This coupled with the strong community preference for that site will make it our preferred location.

"We also received back the full connection offer from Scottish Power and all was in order and as anticipated. We are in a good position now to begin the planning survey work. We are waiting for internal confirmation to proceed and we expect to submit the full planning application by the end of the year or, with Christmas, the beginning of next."

We'll keep residents posted as we get further updates on this proposed development.
